The Flavel is a Registered Charity that receives no regular funding from the Arts Council or local government – it’s income is generated by customers, supporters and sponsors.
The Aims of the Trust are:
- the advancement of the education of the public in the arts, particularly, but not exclusively, the performing arts.
- the advancement of the education of the public by the provision and maintenance of a public library and associated facilities.
- any charitable purpose for the general benefit of the public.

Part of it’s funding is through legacies and to support this an A5 size leaflet and bookmark have been produced highlighting the activities and how easy it is to make a legacy.
